And they were all but disappointed! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New experiences were the norm for this race weekend, starting with Driver #2&#8217;s new responsibility of picking up the mighty #157 E46 and driving it safely to technical inspection (if he was writing this article he would point out that the aircon was <strong>not <\/strong>working which made this task particularly difficult with an outside temperature of 30 degrees, but of course he endured this excruciating pain without a single complain). <br>This was followed with the prompt arrival of a refreshed Driver #1 who, as you may guess, had aircon.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/h2rteam.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/photo_2025-06-15_18-00-23-Copy-edited-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-270\" style=\"width:239px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/h2rteam.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/photo_2025-06-15_18-00-23-Copy-edited-2.jpg 720w, https:\/\/h2rteam.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/photo_2025-06-15_18-00-23-Copy-edited-2-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But only a few minutes after our drivers were reunited, disaster struck. <br>A blood-thirsty maniac in a luxury electric sedan panicked when asked by technical inspection staff to reverse and make way for a recovery vehicle, leading to a multi-euro cents crash (at least for the #157 E46) at astonishing speeds north of 3km\/h. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After carefully evaluating the material, physical, and emotional damage, all decided to part ways and carry on with an even more stressful activity&#8230; technical inspection! <br>Gladly, all went well and H2R learned even more about administrative procedures for vehicles in Germany. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carrying on with novelty and as a way to relax, our drivers practiced for the upcoming event in a front wheel drive car, as one never knows what trick a BMW could decide to pull overnight. A beautiful lap, <em>with airco<\/em>n, before a well deserved rest at a nearby luxury resort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/h2rteam.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/photo_2026-06-06_15-32-24-1-edited.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-272\" srcset=\"https:\/\/h2rteam.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/photo_2026-06-06_15-32-24-1-edited.jpg 960w, https:\/\/h2rteam.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/photo_2026-06-06_15-32-24-1-edited-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 706px) 89vw, (max-width: 767px) 82vw, 740px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following day did not disappoint. Having lost about 15 degrees in outside temperature overnight our drivers gladly suited up and somehow Driver #2 did not once mention the words &#8220;air conditioning&#8221; for the whole day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GLP competitors lined up on a <em>very <\/em>wet track as the rain continued to fall. Driver #1 was waved off and took on the Green Hell in slippery conditions, avoiding the normal racing line at all cost and navigating through traffic and spun-out cars to reach the end of the out-lap in one piece. All this was achieved during peak windscreen wiper mating season which affected visibility and nerves upon each partial wipe that windscreen wiper #1 delivered <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"994\" height=\"565\" src=\"https:\/\/h2rteam.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/wiperporn.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-275\" srcset=\"https:\/\/h2rteam.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/wiperporn.png 994w, https:\/\/h2rteam.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/wiperporn-768x437.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 706px) 89vw, (max-width: 767px) 82vw, 740px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite the distraction Driver #1 kept it between the white lines and delivered 3 consecutive &#8216;Nullrundes&#8217; (confirmation laps with errors below 0.5 tenths of a second!) that were later acclaimed by GLP organisers.
